Jennifer Douglas & Grace Bawden: Two amazing talents meet up

Yesterday was a very special day because I was in the presence of two of the most talented singers known to me personally, and possibly two of the most talented singers globally in terms of their potential for international stardom. Grace Bawden is currently stopping off in the UK on her way to Italy to be auditioned for a singing scholarship, and I met up with her and Manchester-based singer Jennifer Douglas, both of whom have recorded on the Sheer Joy Music label. With Grace and Jennifer were their mums, arguably amongst their staunchest fans, and the five of us spent an enjoyable few hours in the Trafford Centre in Manchester.

Both singers have recorded the hauntingly beautiful song 'If only I had wings', with lyrics by myself and music by the very talented composer, Greg Scheer. If you haven't already got the song on your iPod then why not get it from iTunes, CD Baby or Amazon without further delay. I guarantee that you'll love it, whichever version you download. Of course, at the bargain price of just 99cents (US), the ideal thing is to download both versions! Whilst you are about it, why not download Jennifer Douglas' latest release, 'Dance!' as well.

In the photo above, here I am with these two beautiful young women. Jennifer is on the left of the photo and Grace on the right.

Here's another pic from yesterday's meeting at the Trafford Centre.
