Poem for Today

The following poem is from my collection of poems published under the title Through A Glass Window by Gazebo Books (Wilts) in 1968.


A Study on Form


The girl sits smiling
Glance across
Don't wonder why
She's smiling
Her eyes move upward
At you
Don't kid yourself
She's bored
Her legs cross
Then uncross
For you
Then think again
She's uncomfortable
She gets up
To cross the floor
To you
Don't be fooled
She's going home.
