OUR PRECIOUS PILOT
“And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.”

Leila Naylor Morris who wrote many gospel songs wrote a beautiful song “The Pilot of Galilee”. I love these words. “He is my Pilot on life’s stormy sea, This wondrous Man of Galilee; I’m safe in His keeping, Tho’ storms are round me sweeping, This Pilot of Galilee.”
There are times when everything is going great in our lives when all of a sudden, without any warning, storms of discouragement, criticism and judgment attack us. Thank God for our precious Pilot, the Lord Jesus Christ, who not only protects us from all danger on life’s stormy sea but who also comforts us.
Are you discouraged and under attack? Don’t let Satan defeat you and keep you discouraged. Cry out to Jesus and ask Him to comfort and encourage you. Jesus loves you so very much. He wants you to be happy and live a peaceful life. Get in the life boat and let Jesus pilot your life.
Jesus, what a comfort it is to our hearts to know that we can trust You to take care of us no matter how many poisonous darts Satan hurls at us. Thank You for loving us and for caring about our happiness. We love You so much and we appreciate all that You do for us. Thank You for being our precious Pilot.
