Poem for Today

Song of Faith

Kneeling down to pray,

Closed eyes lifted heavenward

To my God in adoration:

How my heart sings to You

Songs of love and joy,

Songs so full of hope,

That hope that set me free.

Enraptured in Your presence,

Knowing that You hear me,

Freed from all the chains

That bound me to this world.

Your love never-ending,

Your love always with me,

That love that set me free.

Lord, I hear Your voice,

Softly calling to me:

Lord, in my obedience,

I will come before You.

Faith in You demanding,

Faith in You commanding,

Eternal faith in Thee. 

Guided by Your Spirit,

Forever You are with me,

Never, never leaving,

My God who is so true.

My God, I kneel before You,

Worship and adore You,

Praise God who set me free!
