THE INSIDE
"Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also."
Matthew 23:25, 26 (King James Version)
We should keep our home clean and neat. However, we need to be more concerned about the condition of our heart than we are about the condition of our home. If we would spend as much time keeping our heart clean as we do keeping our home clean, we would make Jesus very happy.We read in the Bible. "But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart" (1 Samuel 16:7).
Heavenly Father, please sweep all the things that hurt You from our heart. Help us to do kind things for one another and be an encouragement to one another. I am so glad that You look on the heart instead of the outside. We love You, Father, and we appreciate You. Amen.
