Joanne Lowe's Meditations

WHEN WE SEE JESUS
"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."
1 Thessalonians 4:16,17 (King James Version)
Squire Parsons wrote a beautiful hymn that always brings tears of happiness to my eyes "OH, WHAT A MOMENT".  The words are beautiful.  "Oh, what a moment, when we see Jesus; When we stand face to face in His embrace; And thank Him for amazing grace, Oh! what a moment when we see Him".
What a privilege is ours to be able to stand face to face with Jesus as He hugs us!  If you will look with your heart, you will see the One who died for us on a cruel cross hugging you.  There are no words to describe the joy that is going to be ours when we see Jesus face to face.
I believe that Jesus is longing to see us even more than we are longing to see Him.  Jesus loves us so much that He allowed them to spit on Him, curse Him, ridicule Him and beat Him beyond recognition and then crucify Him on a cross of horror for our sins.  There is no greater love than the love He has for us.
Heavenly Father, thank You for loving us so much that You sent Your beloved Son to die for our sins.  You are a compassionate, tender, loving and forgiving Father and we love You.  Jesus, thank You for loving us so much that You died for us.  How I love You, my precious Saviour.  Amen.
