GOD’S WARRANTY
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.”
1 John 1:9,10 (King James Version)
One of the definitions in Webster’s Dictionary for the word “warranty” is “a usually written guarantee of the integrity of a product and of the maker’s responsibility for the repair or replacement of defective parts”.
When the blood of Jesus is applied to our hearts for the forgiveness of our sins that does not mean that we will never sin again.  However, God has given us a written guarantee in the Bible that when we do sin He will repair our hearts.
“My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not.  And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:” (1 John 2:1).  How comforting it is to know that Jesus pleads our cause before God when we sin.
You might say, “I don’t sin”.  We read in the Bible “Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin” (James 4:17).  Can we honestly say that we always love people unconditionally?
“A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another” (John 13:34).  Do you always love your family and friends unconditionally?  If not, ask God to help you love like He wants you to love.
