HE ROSE VICTORIOUSLY
“And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said, Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee ; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.”
Matthew 28:5-7 (King James Version)
When Jesus came to earth on His mission, He already knew that He was going to be crucified and die for our sins. His Father had prepared Him as much as possible for what was going to happen. However, the criticism, rejection and sarcasm that He endured when He was here was heartbreaking.
As we celebrate the birthday of Jesus next week, let us also remember to celebrate the fact that He rose victoriously from the dead. Do you understand yet how much Jesus loves you? You are so precious to Him. He loves you now. He will love you tomorrow and He will love you forever.
Jesus, You are so precious. How I love You! You are the very breath that I take and the reason I am living. Without You, there is no reason to live because without You, nothing is worthwhile. Thank You so much for loving me and for dying for me. I appreciate You so very much.
Have you allowed Jesus to rise victoriously in your heart and in your relationships with your family and your friends? Do they see and feel the unconditional love of Jesus in your smiles and actions and hear Him in the kind words you say? If not, you are hurting Him and breaking His heart.
