EVERY MOMENT
"Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

Our world is filled with so many terrible things that we not only need Jesus every day and every hour, we need Him every moment. It only takes one moment for satan to hurl a vicious dart of discouragement and criticism into our heart. Thank God for a Saviour who is always with us and who never leaves us.
Evangelist Daniel Webster Whittle wrote a beautiful hymn about our Saviour "Moment by Moment". "Never a trial that He is not there, Never a burden that He doth not bear, Never a sorrow that He doth not share, Moment by moment, I'm under His care." We may feel alone but we are never alone, not even for one moment.
It is wonderful to know that Jesus never leaves us alone. The question is do we leave Him alone? Does He have the first priority in our heart and life? Do we spend more time with Him than we do watching television? I believe that we hurt Jesus many times because we don't spend more time with Him.
Heavenly Father, I know that it hurts You when Your Son is ignored and put on the bottom of our lists. We're sorry that we haven't spent more time with Jesus. Please have mercy on us and forgive us. Help us to always give Jesus the first place in our heart and in our life. Amen.
