Light from Christ is shining,
Out across the earth;
Angels loud are singing
Of the Saviour’s birth.
Born in simple stable,
To a virgin birth;
Blesséd Lord and Saviour,
Greatest gift on earth.
Jesus came to save us,
Came to set us free;
Heavens day is dawning
Now on you and me.
He’s the light of heaven,
Stars and moon and sun,
Star-shine of the morning,
He’s God’s only Son.
