How time flies, or as the Romans might have remarked, Tempis fugit! It's just a week ago today that I posted an entry about the Gospel Service that will take place this week at St John's in Victoria Road, Runcorn, which is my home church, and now here we are finalising the arrangements for the service which takes place at 7 o'clock tomorrow evening.
It should be a really good uplifting service with the congregation singing hymns from Sankey's Sacred Songs and Solos, always a popular choice. There are going to be two soloists, both local singers of exceptional talent. Firstly, Alan Watson who, despite his years, still packs 'em in whenever he sings at the theatre, and secondly a very talented 15-year old, Charlotte Dacia, who is a young soprano with a powerful voice.
A local pastor will be sharing his testimony as a word of witness and I shall be preaching the Word and raising praises to God in the name of Jesus.
If you happen to be within travelling distance it will be well worth coming along to share in the evening, and if you do then please make yourself known to me. I'll look forward to greeting you.
