Dydd Gwyl Dewi Sant, Yr Emyn Cymraig a Siobhan Owen

Close enough to St David's Day, and in celebration of my young friend Siobhan Owen's debut appearance in the USA, here is a new hymn of praise to sing in your worship service. Please feel free to download and copy it for use in your service, but please report your use of it to CCLI.

Gogoniant fo I’r  Uchel Iôr CM
Tôn: Abridge

Llawenydd ein calonnau clyw
Pob llais a llaw sy fri;
Angylion ganant uchel glod,
Wrth rhoddi  mawl i ti.
Gogoniant fo i’r uchel Iôr,
I Iesu, Fab y Nef;
Gogoniant fo i’r Ysbryd Glân,
I’r Drindod, codwn lef.

Mewn cân addolwn Grist y Mab,
Ag anthem lawen gref;
Mae côr y nef yn chwyddo’r gân
O foliant iddo Ef.
Gogoniant fo i’r uchel Iôr,
I Iesu, Fab y Nef;
Gogoniant fo i’r Ysbryd Glân,
I’r Drindod, codwn lef.

All Glory to Our God Above CM
TUNE: Abridge

The joy within our heart rings out,
Voices and hands we raise;
The angels up in heaven sing loud,
In glory and with praise.
All glory to our God above,
And to Jesus, the Son,
All glory to the Holy Ghost,
Worship the Three-in-One.

In song we worship Christ the Son,
Anthems of joy now raise;
The heav’nly choir has now begun
Their worship songs of praise.
All glory to our God above,
And to Jesus, the Son,
All glory to the Holy Ghost,
Worship the Three-in-One.

'Storybook Journey' : the new CD by Siobhán Owen

     As I write, I'm listening to the beautiful sound of young Adelaide-based songstress, Siobhán Owen. Her new album, Storybook Journey, arrived in my post yesterday. What a joy to listen to such a pure and faultless voice.

     Of course I have already got favourites, although I suspect that I will add more to the list as I listen further.
     I can thoroughly recommend the CD to all of you, so I hope that you rush to order your copy today so that you can enjoy it as much as I am doing right now.

Siobhan Owen sings 'Siuil a Run/Walk With Me' (acapella)

When she was just 15 years old Siobhan Owen sang the haunting Irish traditional song, Siuil a Run (Walk with me). She was performing at the Triquetra Awards Dinner during the Australian Celtic Festival, Glen Innes, New South Wales.
This video gives you a good idea as to why I think that she's such a great young singer!
