Going great guns in Tallahassee!

I arrived in Tallahassee late on Tuesday evening, and have been busy with meeting people prior to the release of Charlotte Kerce's new CD which I'm here to launch tomorrow evening (Sunday) on behalf of Sheer Joy Music. The CD, which is called He's Always With Me, will be launched at a concert which is being held at Wildwood Church, 100 Ox Bottom Road, Tallahassee, at 7.30 pm Sunday evening. It's expected that the concert will be well attended for Charlotte is well known in the area for her wonderful voice. The concert is free, so if you live close enough then why not come along and enjoy it.

The new CD features ten of my Worship songs, and was produced by Warren Halstrom, the many-talented Minister of Worship at Celebration Baptist church in Talahassee. There will be an opportunity to purchase it for the discounted price of US$10 at the concert, which compares to the official price of US$15 (UK9.25).

Yesterday, Charlotte, Warren and myself were interviewed on Faith Radio by Scott Beigle, and during the course of the interview he played three tracks from the CD, including the title track. It was a great interview and Scott was impressed enough to want to play more tracks from the CD in future broadcasts.

Tomorrow morning we will be spending time with the folk at Seafarers which is at Shell Point, and Charlotte will be singing some of the tracks whilst I will have the opportunity to share a word of testimony as well. I'm sure that after the big concert in the evening we will both feel somewhat exhausted, and yet I guess that the adrenalin will keep us on a high!

During the course of the week I hope to be doing a few more interviews and we also have another concert at Crawfordsville on Wednesday evening. Now that I can get online once more I'll do my best to update this blog through the week.

So far this week I've also managed to write three new worship songs to be sung in the country Gospel genre, so I guess that the Talahassee air must be doing me good creatively! Warren is going to look at them with a view to including them in Charlotte's next CD.

The hymn Fisher of Men which has music by Andrew Millinchip, is a very popular hymn of mine, and I love the music that Andrew set this hymn to for me. It's one of those tunes that makes you want to sing along with it. Why not include it in your next Worship Service.

George Hamilton VI, and other new Christian friends . . .

As I commented on my Blog last week, I went to Leighton Buzzard (UK) to the New Christian Music Awards. Although I was only there for one of the two days it was a well worthwhile trip to hear some great singers and meet up with a lot of new friends.

Amongst the folk whom I was privileged to meet was the US Ambassador to Country Music, the great George Hamilton VI. George has been a member of the Grand Ole Opry for fifty years! What a privilege to meet him, not only because he is one of Country music's 'Greats', but also because he is great Christian who demonstrates the true meaning of humility.

Amongst the acts in the concert that I attended was a section of the cast of the new musical Heal Our Land, and if what we were treated to by the singers is anything to go by then I can't wait to see the show when it opens officially, the first performance being scheduled to open on 10th May at Liverpool Cathedral. I really recommend you to make every effort to go and see this musical, specially written by Jimmy & Carol Owens.

Amongst the singers whom I met up with were Janece from Northern Ireland, Paul Banderet from Hertfordshire, UK, and Liz Clarke from Belfast, Northern Ireland; all great singers, each with a gifted ministry.

I spread the word about The Voice Christian News & Views, the international Christian magazine which I publish and distribute free-of-charge as part of my ministry, and a lot of people left clutching a copy of the current edition. A lot of people also left clutching a copy of Jennifer Douglas' new CD Love Away the Hate, released recently by Sheer Joy Music.

GIVE WHAT YOU HAVE

The last two days I have been listening to a series of sermons that a pastor friend sent me. I stayed up all night Sunday listening to them because my heart was so touched by what the pastor said in the sermons. One of the sermons touched my hungry heart so much that I cried through the entire sermon.

In one of the sermons, the pastor challenged the congregation to take their shoes off so they could be given to people who need shoes. The pastor said “It’s warm today. You can walk without your shoes to your car.” The people in the congregation that day might not have been able to give any money but they could have given their shoes had they chosen to do so.

To some of us that may sound crazy and not very practical but if I had been there that day when the sermon was preached, I would have gladly taken my shoes off and given them away. It is very important and also urgent that we get out of our comfort zones and reach out to people in need.

We do need to give our money to people who don’t have enough money to buy groceries or pay their rent or their utility bills. However, there is another kind of need that is far more urgent and that is the need to comfort and encourage people who are hurting emotionally.

In one of those sermons, the pastor told about going to a leper colony and hugging the lepers. For those of you who have been on my mailing list for any length of time, you know that I spent over thirty years confined to mental hospitals off and on and in that time not one person hugged me. I had been told so many times as a teenager at school that I was fat, ugly, and stupid, and didn’t have a right to live that I really believed it.

O that we would love Jesus so much, that like that precious pastor who hugged the lepers, we would hug people who are hurting for Jesus. Remember, Jesus hasn’t been here for over two thousand years. He has left us to hug for Him.

When is the last time you hugged someone for Jesus? When is the last time you hugged your spouse or children and told them that the hug wasn’t from you, it was from Jesus? Are you willing to shut off the television, get out of your comfort zone and love others to Jesus?

Remember, the level of our service to Jesus depends on our level of love for Him. How much do you love Him and how much are you willing to do for Him? Only you can answer that question. We are either serving Jesus or we are serving satan. The choice is yours. Will you commit today to serve Jesus for the rest of your life?

What is a 710?

A blonde walked into her local garage and asked for a seven-hundred-ten

The mechanics looked at each other with a puzzled expression, and another customer asked, 'What is a seven-hundred- ten?'

She replied, 'You know, the little piece in the middle of the engine, I've lost it and need a new one,' continuing that she didn't know exactly what it was, but that this piece had always been there.

The mechanic gave her a piece of paper and a pen and asked her to draw what the piece looked like. She drew a circle and in the middle of it wrote 710. He then took her over to a car just like hers which had its hood up and asked 'is there a 710 on this car?'

She pointed and said, 'Of course, its right there.'

A GREAT Christian Music Event: NCM Weekend

This weekend, 13th and 14th February, sees a fabulous gathering of Christian Music fans and performers at the Vandyke Theatre in Leighton Buzzard (UK). There will be five concerts over the course of the 2-day event featuring some of the best Christian Music artists.

I shall be there on the Saturday giving away copies of the current issue of The Voice Christian News & Views, so keep a watch out and come and have a chat if you come to the event. LA LIBERTAD EN CRISTO

Si nosotros decimos que nosotros no tenemos ningún pecado, nosotros nos engañamos, y la verdad no está en nosotros

(1 John 1:8)

Cuando nosotros consideramos nuestros esfuerzos por entrar en el compañerismo con Dios, el gran problema que está de pie de nuestra manera es el problema secular de pecado. ¿Cómo los hijo-de-hombres de ‘están ' para volverse los ‘hijo-de-Dios '? Se considera que la humanidad es superior que otras criaturas, y esto es donde la raíz del problema existe. Es diferente de la relación entre la más bajo vida y Dios porque la materia de testamento humano está envuelta. El superior la ambición que Dios celebró para los seres humanos, el mayor el problema introducido por la voluntad libre, dada para formar el carácter en las personas. Dios ha dado, por los medios de voluntad libre, la oportunidad de hacer una opción entre el bueno y malo, y aunque esto también se permite el lujo de la humanidad la gran oportunidad que proporciona la oportunidad de caerse de la gracia a través del pecado.

La Biblia atribuye los pecados de personas a su abuso voluntarioso de voluntad libre. Paul, por escrito al Christians romano, perfiló la verdad acerca de la condición de humanidad como los pecadores. Hablando a la iglesia en Roma, Paul se refiere a esos judíos que abusaron los privilegios concedidos por Dios a su raza porque ellos pudieron y se deben de haber vuelto una luz guiando a aquéllos en la oscuridad.

Nosotros no encontramos la diferenciación entre los pecados grandes o pequeños, para a Dios todo el pecado es el PECADO. El pecado involucra la persona total, la reserva mental y los aspectos físicos de nuestro ser. Está en el mismo corazón de self-centredness. La Nueva apreciación del Testamento de pecado es ese pecado en la carne describe una condición de separación de Dios que se levanta de las opciones malas de estilo de vida. Peque en sus cuerpos significa el pecado en su ser personal; y la expresión de pecado en su alma también está refiriéndose a a sí mismo, o persona. Que el alma, o persona, pecando se morirán es una advertencia a la persona total. Paul señala que lo que la Ley era incapaz de lograr con la memorias a prevenir el cuerpo para pecar, el propio Dios hizo enviando a Jesús como nuestro ejemplo. En 8:3 Paul escribe, Para lo que la Ley no podría hacer, débil como él había terminado la carne, Dios hizo: enviando a Su propio Hijo en la semejanza de carne pecadora y como una ofrenda para el pecado, Él condenó el pecado en la carne. La palabra semejanza es crucial porque indica que ese Jesús era un verdadero hombre pero no un hombre pecador. En el Libro de Actos, Luke escribe que cada alma que no considera al profeta será absolutamente destruida de entre las personas (los Actos: 3:23).

El pecado es serio, para él el ser total involucra. Las personas son incapaces en ellos resolver sus problemas. Sus seres enteros son adversamente afectados. El pecado invade su pensamiento, su testamento, su sentido de valores, sus contestaciones naturales, y sus relaciones.

Las personas están en el peligro de esclavos adecuados pecar si ellos no abrevian sus expresiones de mismo-testamento. Ellos mueven de una posición de confiar en Dios para mismo-confiar; de obedecer Dios a la presunción; de servir Dios a la esclavitud pecar. Nos recuerdan que nuestro ego viejo se crucificó con Él, que nuestro cuerpo de pecado podría hacerse lejos con, que nosotros ya no debemos ser los esclavos para pecar (romanos 6:6). En otros términos, una vez nosotros aceptamos totalmente entonces a Cristo en nuestras vidas que nosotros también recibimos a todos que Él ha hecho para nosotros. Nuestro ego viejo es hecho ineficaz e impotente ̶o muerto y nosotros tenemos la nueva vida en Cristo. Nosotros somos a todo el efecto, nacido de nuevo.

Viviendo se describe como servir bueno o malo. Los actos de personas tienen las repercusiones más allá de las sensaciones que ellos sienten momentáneamente. Sus actos son los testimonios para Dios o para Satanás. La súplica constante del Nuevo Testamento es para las personas servir Dios y por eso encontrar la liberación para que ellos fueron creados. Cuando el pecado se sirve, el verdadero deseo de humanidad se niega, su papel creado se comisa, y ellos se clasifican bajo la vinculación de pecado y muerte. Paul escribe que la Escritura ha callado a todos los hombres bajo el pecado que la promesa por la fe en Jesús Christ podría darse a aquéllos que creen (Galatians 3:22). Cuando nosotros servimos Dios en el nombre de Cristo que nosotros nos liberamos de los grilletes de pecado.

La rendición de humanidad de sonship a Dios trae en la luz su responsabilidad personal por la culpa. La escritura sostiene a las personas responsable para su propio pecado. No es la responsabilidad de generaciones del pasado. Las personas son responsables para las acciones del grupo de que ellos son una parte. Ellos son culpables para el ambiente ellos ayudan cree. Esta semana yo he estado interesado por informes que nuestro gobierno piensa deportar a los Zimbabwean asilo buscadores fallados a Zimbabwe, y esto a pesar de las atrocidades a llevándose fuera allí, y el hecho reconocido--- por todos parece excepto el gobierno--- que si estas personas se vuelven que ellos enfrentarán encarcelamiento, tortura y muerte probable. Todavía el gobierno se vota en el poder por las personas y necesidades de considerar los deseos de las personas. ¿Cómo ellos pueden hacer que si nosotros no hacemos nuestros deseos conocidos? ¿Y si nosotros fallamos en ese respeto, cómo nosotros podemos expresar la preocupación para algo que no nos interesa bastante para actuar en nuestra preocupación?

Ninguna persona vive al ego. Qué cada uno de nosotros hace tiene un afecta en otros, aun cuando nosotros somos desprevenidos de ese efecto. Nosotros tenemos libertad de opción, para eso es qué libre albedrío es, la libertad para escoger cuando nosotros vemos el ataque. Si nosotros hacemos las opciones malas y bajamos el camino de pecado entonces que nosotros no tenemos nadie pero nosotros para culpar, y nosotros debemos enfrentar nuestro pecado por consiguiente solo y debemos ser responsable para él nosotros.

El gran problema de humanidad es el pecado. Lo que otros problemas en las personas de vida pueden enfrentar que el más gran problema de todos es el pecado. La Biblia enseña que ese Dios sostiene a las personas responsable para su pecado. Las personas representan exclusivamente en la soledad su pecado, mientras enfrentando la responsabilidad de él solo. Todavía Dios es misericordioso y simplemente, y Él se ha encontrado esta condición con la oportunidad para nosotros hacer una opción. Una vez las personas están listas para admitir que su pecado es suyo y suyo solo, entonces ellos están listos encontrarse con Jesús en el arrepentimiento, mientras buscando el perdón, y Él llevará sus pecados para ellos, para Cristo Jesus entró en el mundo para salvar a los pecadores.

LIBERTÉ DANS LE CHRIST

Quand nous considérons nos tentatives entrer dans camaraderie avec Dieu, le grand problème qui se trouve dans notre chemin est le problème séculaire de péché. Comment est-ce que les fils ‘sont ' de-hommes pour devenir les fils ‘' de-Dieu? L'espèce humaine est considérée plus haut qu'autres créatures, et c'est où la racine du problème existe. C'est différent du rapport entre vie inférieure et Dieu parce que la matière de volonté humaine est impliquée. Le plus haut l'ambition que Dieu a tenu pour les êtres humains, le plus grand le problème introduit par libre arbitre, donné pour former le caractère dans les gens. La Bible attribue les péchés de gens à leur abus délibéré de libre arbitre. Paul, par écrit aux Chrétien romains, a esquissé la vérité à propos de la situation critique d'humanité comme pécheurs. Parler à l'église à Rome, Paul se reporte à ces Juifs qui ont abusé des privilèges accordés par Dieu à leur course parce qu'ils pourraient et seraient dus devenir une lumière directrice à ceux dans obscurité.

Nous ne trouvons aucune différenciation entre grands ou petits péchés, pour à Dieu tout le péché est PÉCHÉ. Paul signale que ce que la Loi était incapable d'accomplir avec les amitiés à prévenir le corps pour pécher, Dieu Lui-même a fait en envoyant Jésus comme notre exemple. En 8:3 Paul écrit, Pour ce que la Loi ne pourrait pas faire, faible comme c'était à travers la chair, Dieu a fait: envoyer Son propre Fils dans la ressemblance de chair coupable et comme une offre pour péché, Il a condamné le péché dans la chair. La ressemblance du mot est cruciale parce qu'il indique que Jésus était un homme vrai mais pas un homme coupable. Dans le Livre de Lois, Luke émissions que chaque âme qui ne fait pas attention le prophète sera complètement détruite de parmi les gens (Lois: 3:23).

Ils déplacent d'une place de Dieu confiant à la moi confiance; d'obéir à Dieu à autoritarisme; de servir Dieu à esclavage pour pécher. Nous sommes rappelés que notre vieux moi a été crucifié avec Lui, que notre corps de péché peut être fait avec loin, que nous ne devrions plus être des esclaves pour pécher (Romains 6:6). Nous acceptons complètement en d'autres termes, une fois alors Le Christ dans nos vies que nous acceptons aussi à tout qu'Il a fait pour nous. Notre vieux moi est rendu inefficace et impotent ̶ou mort et nous avons la nouvelle vie dans Le Christ. Nous sommes à tout l'effet, né encore.

Vivre est décrit comme servir ou bon ou mauvais. Les actes de gens ont des répercussions au-delà les sensations qu'ils sentent momentanément. Leurs actes sont des témoignages pour Dieu ou pour Satan. La défense constante du Nouveau Testament est pour les gens servir Dieu et de cette façon trouver la libération pour laquelle ils ont été créés. Quand le péché est servi, le désir vrai d'humanité est nié, leur rôle créé est perdu, et ils tombent sous la liaison de péché et mort. Paul émissions que l'Ecriture sainte a fermé tous les hommes sous péché que la promesse par foi dans Jésus Christ peut être donnée à ceux qui croient (Galatians 3:22). Quand nous servons Dieu dans le nom de Le Christ nous sommes libérés des chaînes de péché.

La reddition d'humanité de sonship à Dieu apporte dans lumière leur responsabilité personnelle pour culpabilité. L'Ecriture sainte tient des gens responsable pour leur propre péché. Ce n'est pas la responsabilité de générations passées. Les gens sont responsables pour les actions du groupe de qu'elles sont une partie. Ils sont coupables pour l'environnement ils aident créer. Nous parlons de mon pays, ma ville, et ma maison. Nous vivons dans un climat où nous cherchons à trouver quelqu'un pour blâmer, aussi long que le doigt n'est pas pointé vers nous. Les situations qui nous éprouvons ou avons lu au sujet d'ou entendons au sujet de peuvent sortir bien des exclamations de désapprobation de nous, mais tous les combien fait nous choisissons activement de faire quelque chose au sujet de lui. Nous sommes les auteurs de notre propre malchance si nous choisissons de ne faire rien dans la croyance que la situation ne nous concerne pas non plus ou ne pourrait pas être changée peut-être par notre protestation seule. Cette semaine j'ai été intéressé par rapports que notre gouvernement projette d'expulser des chercheurs d'asile Zimbabwéens manqués à Zimbabwe, et ce en dépit des atrocités qui sont portées là-bas, et le fait reconnu--- par tout le monde il paraît sauf le gouvernement--- que si ces gens sont rendus ils feront face à emprisonnement, torture et mort vraisemblable. Encore le gouvernement a voté dans pouvoir par les gens et besoins de considérer les voeux des gens. Comment est-ce qu'ils peuvent faire que si nous ne faisons pas nos voeux sus? Et si nous manquons dans ce respect, comment est-ce que nous pouvons exprimer l'inquiétude pour quelque chose qui ne nous intéresse pas assez pour agir sur notre inquiétude?

Aucune personne ne vit à moi. Que chacun de nous fais a un affect sur les autres, même si nous sommes ignorants de cet effet. Nous avons de la liberté de choix, pour cela est quel freewill est, la liberté choisir comme nous voyons la crise. Si nous faisons les choix mal et descendons alors le chemin de péché nous avons personne mais nous-mêmes pour blâmer, et nous devons faire face par conséquent à notre péché seul et être responsable pour lui nous-mêmes.

Le grand problème d'humanité est péché. Quel que soit autres problèmes dans les gens de la vie peuvent faire face le plus grand problème de tout est péché. La Bible apprend ce Dieu tient des gens responsable pour leur péché. Les gens remplacent seul la solitude pour leur péché, en faisant face à la responsabilité de lui seul. Encore Dieu est miséricordieux et juste, et Il a rencontré cette condition avec l'occasion pour nous pour faire un choix. Une fois les gens sont prêts à admettre que leur péché est le leur et le leur seul, alors ils sont prêts à rencontrer Jésus dans repentir, en cherchant le pardon, et Il portera leurs péchés pour eux, pour Le Christ Jesus est entré dans le monde pour sauver des pécheurs.

FREIHEIT IN CHRISTUS

Wenn wir sagen, daß wir keine Sünde haben, betrügen wir uns, und die Wahrheit ist nicht in uns

Wenn wir unsere Versuche erwägen, in Kameradschaft mit Gott hineinzugehen, ist das große Problem, das auf unsere Weise steht, das Alter-alte Problem der Sünde. Wie ist der ‘Söhne-von-Männer ', um die ‘Söhne-von-Gott ' zu werden? Die Menschheit wird erwogen, höher als andere Kreaturen zu sein, und dies ist dort, wo die Wurzel des Problems existiert. Es ist als die Beziehung zwischen niedrigerem Leben und Gott anders, weil die Sache menschlichen Willens mit sich gebracht wird. Je höher die Ambition, die Gott für Menschen hielt, je größer das von freiem Willen, der gegeben wird, um Charakter in Leuten zu bilden, eingeführte Problem. Gott hat die Gelegenheit, durch die Mittel freien Willens, gegeben, eine Wahl zwischen Gutem und Bösem zu machen, und während dies der Menschheit große Gelegenheit leistet, bietet es auch die Gelegenheit, von Anmut durch Sünde zu fallen.

Die Bibel schreibt ihrem eigensinnigen Mißbrauch freien Willens die Sünden von Leuten zu. Paul umriß die Wahrheit betreffend Menschheit Notlage als Sünder, im Schreiben an die römischen Christen. Mit der Kirche bei Rom sprechend, bezieht sich Paul auf jene Juden, die die Privilegien mißbrauchten, gewährte von Gott zu ihrem Rennen, weil sie könnten und ein führendes Licht zu jenen in Dunkelheit geworden sein sollten.

Wir finden keine Differenzierung zwischen großen oder kleinen Sünden, für zu Gott ist alle Sünde SÜNDE. Sünde bringt die totale Person, beiden geistige und die physischen Aspekte unseres Seins mit sich. Es ist beim genauen Herzen von self-centredness. Die Neue Testamentbewertung als Sünde ist diese Sünde im Fleisch, beschreibt eine Bedingung für Trennung von Gott, die aus falschen Wahlen des Lebensstiles entsteht. Sündigen Sie in Ihrer Körper-Mittel-Sünde in Ihrem persönlichen Sein; und der Ausdruck der Sünde in Ihrer Seele bezieht sich auch auf sich selbst, oder Person. Daß die Seele oder Person, die sündigt, sterben wird, ist eine Warnung vor der totalen Person. Paul weist darauf hin, daß das, was mit Grüßen daran, den Körper zu verhindern, um zu sündigen, zu erreichen das Gesetz unfähig war, Gott Himself machte, indem er Jesus als unser Beispiel schickte. In 8:3 schreibt Paul, Für das, was das Gesetz nicht machen konnte, schwach, als es durch das Fleisch war, machte Gott: das Schicken von His eigener Sohn in der Ähnlichkeit sündhaften Fleisches und als ein Angebot gegen Sünde, Er verurteilte Sünde im Fleisch. Die Wortähnlichkeit ist entscheidend, weil es darauf darauf hinweist, daß Jesus ein wahrer Mann aber nicht ein sündhafter Mann war. Das Buch von Gesetzen fügt Luke ein, daß jede Seele, die den Propheten nicht beachtet, zerstört werden wird, total von unter den Leuten (Gesetzen): 3:23.

Sünde ist ernst, denn es bringt das totale Sein mit sich. Leute sind in sich unfähig, um ihre Probleme zu lösen. Ihre ganzen Wesen werden feindlich beeinflußt. Sünde dringt in ihr Denken ein, ihren Willen, ihr Gefühl von Werten, ihren natürlichen Antworten und ihren Beziehungen.

Leute sind in Gefahr Sklaven zu werden, zu sündigen, wenn sie ihre Ausdrücke des Eigensinnes nicht abkürzen. Sie ziehen von einer Position weg, Gott zu Selbstvertrauen anzuvertrauen; vom Gehorchen von Gott zu Selbstbehauptung; vom Servieren von Gott zu Sklaverei, um zu sündigen. Wir werden daran erinnert, daß unser altes Selbst mit Ihm gekreuzigt wurde, daß unser Körper der Sünde abgeschafft werden könnte, daß wir nicht mehr Sklaven sein sollten, zu sündigen (Römer 6:6). In anderen Wörtern, sobald wir dann Christus vollständig in unser Leben annehmen, das wir auch alles annehmen, was Er für uns gemacht hat. Unser altes Selbst wird ineffektiv und unfähig ̶oder tot gemacht, und wir haben neues Leben in Christus. Wir sind zu aller Wirkung, die wieder geboren wird.

Lebensunterhalt wird entweder gut als dienend oder Böser beschrieben. Die Taten von Leuten haben Rückwirkungen jenseits der Sensationen, die sie für einen Augenblick empfinden. Ihre Taten sind Zeugnisse für Gott oder Satan. Die beständige Bitte des Neuen Testamentes ist für Leute, Gott zu dienen und dadurch die Befreiung zu finden, für die sie geschaffen wurden. Wenn Sünde gedient wird, wird der wahre Wunsch von Menschheit bestritten, ihre geschaffene Rolle wird verwirkt, und sie fallen unter das Binden von Sünde und dem Tod. Paul schreibt, daß die Schrift alle Männer unter Sünde eingesperrt hat, die das Versprechen von Glauben an Jesus Christus jenen gegeben werden könnte, die glauben, (Galatians 3:22). Wenn wir Gott im Namen von Christus dienen, werden wir von den Ketten der Sünde befreit.

Menschheit Kapitulation von sonship zu Gott bringt ihre persönliche Verantwortung für Schuld in Licht. Scripturegriffe bevölkern für ihre eigene Sünde verantwortlich. Es ist nicht die Verantwortung vergangener Generationen. Leute sind für die Handlungen von der Gruppe, von der sie ein Teil sind, verantwortlich. Sie sind für die Umgebung schuldig, die sie helfen zu schaffen. Wir sprechen von meinem Land, meiner Stadt und meiner Heimat. Wir leben in einem Klima, wo wir versuchen, jemanden zu finden, zu beschuldigen, als sehnen Sie sich, wie der Finger nicht zu uns gerichtet wird. Situationen, der wir erfahren oder ungefähr lasen oder ungefähr zeichnet Ausrufe der Mißbilligung von uns vielleicht gut hören, aber wie oft macht, wir wählen aktiv, etwas dagegen zu machen. Wir sind die Autoren unseres eigenen Mißgeschickes, wenn wir wählen, im Glauben nichts zu machen, daß die Situation uns entweder nicht betrifft, oder konnten möglicherweise nicht von unserem einzelnen Protest verwandelt werden. Diese Woche bin ich durch Berichte besorgt gewesen, daß unsere Regierung beabsichtigt zu deportieren, fiel Zimbabwean-Asyl Suchende nach Simbabwe, und dieses trotz der Greueltaten, die aus dort getragen werden, und der erkannten Tatsache durch, durch jeden scheint es außer der Regierung, daß, wenn diese Leute zurückgegeben werden, sie Inhaftierung, Folter und wahrscheinlichem Tod gegenüberstehen werden. Doch wird die Regierung in Macht von den Leuten gewählt und muß die Wünsche der Leute erwägen. Wie können sie machen, daß, wenn wir unsere Wünsche nicht bekannt machen? Und wenn wir in diesem Respekt scheitern, wie können wir ausdrücken, betreffen Sie für etwas, was es uns genug nicht interessiert, auf unserer Sorge zu spielen?

Keine Person lebt zu Selbst. Das, was jede von uns macht, hat auf anderen einen Affekt, auch wenn wir von dieser Wirkung ahnungslos sind. Wir haben freie Wahl, denn das ist, welcher freewill ist, das Vorrecht, zu wählen, wie wir Anfall sehen. Wenn wir dann die falschen Wahlen und den Gehen den Pfad der Sünde entlang machen, haben wir niemanden aber uns zu beschuldigen, und wir müssen deshalb unserer Sünde allein gegenüberstehen und sind verantwortlich dafür selbst.

Das große Problem von Menschheit ist Sünde. Welch andere Probleme mit Lebensleuten blicken vielleicht, das größte Problem von allem ist Sünde. Die Bibel unterrichtet diesen Gott, den Griffe für ihre Sünde verantwortlich bevölkern. Leute springen Einsamkeit allein für ihre Sünde ein und stellen sich der Verantwortung davon allein. Doch ist Gott gnädig und nur, und Er hat diese Bedingung mit der Gelegenheit für uns getroffen, eine Wahl zu machen. Sobald Leute bereit sind, zuzugeben, daß ihre Sünde ihres und ihres allein ist, dann sind sie bereit, sich in Reue mit Jesus zu treffen und suchen Verzeihung, und Er wird ihre Sünden für sie tragen, für Christus Jesus kam in die Welt, um Sünder zu bewahren.

Meditation for Today: Freedom

FREEDOM IN CHRIST

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us

(1 John 1:8)

When we consider our attempts to enter into fellowship with God, the great problem that stands in our way is the age-old problem of sin. How are the ‘sons-of-men’ to become the ‘sons-of-God’? Mankind is considered to be higher than other creatures, and this is where the root of the problem exists. It’s different from the relationship between lower life and God because the matter of human will is involved. The higher the ambition that God held for human beings, the greater the problem introduced by free will, given in order to form character in people. God has given, by the means of free will, the opportunity to make a choice between good and evil, and whilst this affords mankind great opportunity it also provides the opportunity to fall from grace through sin.

The Bible attributes people’s sins to their wilful abuse of free will. Paul, in writing to the Roman Christians, outlined the truth concerning humanity’s plight as sinners. Speaking to the church at Rome, Paul refers to those Jews who abused the privileges granted by God to their race because they could and should have become a guiding light to those in darkness.

We find no differentiation between large or small sins, for to God all sin is SIN. Sin involves the total person, both the mental and the physical aspects of our being. It’s at the very heart of self-centredness. The New Testament appraisal of sin is that sin in the flesh describes a condition of separation from God arising from wrong choices of lifestyle. Sin in your bodies means sin in your personal being; and the expression of sin in your soul is also referring to oneself, or person. That the soul, or person, sinning shall die is a warning to the total person. Paul points out that what the Law was unable to achieve with regards to preventing the body to sin, God Himself did by sending Jesus as our example. In 8:3 Paul writes, For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh. The word likeness is crucial because it indicates that Jesus was a true man but not a sinful man. In the Book of Acts, Luke writes that every soul that does not heed the prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people (Acts: 3:23).

Sin is serious, for it involves the total being. People are unable in themselves to solve their problems. Their whole beings are adversely affected. Sin invades their thinking, their will, their sense of values, their natural responses, and their relationships.

People are in danger of becoming slaves to sin if they fail to curtail their expressions of self-will. They move from a position of trusting God to self-trust; from obeying God to self-assertion; from serving God to slavery to sin. We are reminded that our old self was crucified with Him, that our body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin (Romans 6:6). In other words, once we accept Christ fully into our lives then we also accept all that He has done for us. Our old self is made ineffective and impotent ̶ or dead ̶ and we have new life in Christ. We are to all effect, born again.

Living is described as serving either good or evil. People’s acts have repercussions beyond the sensations they momentarily feel. Their acts are testimonies for God or for Satan. The constant plea of the New Testament is for people to serve God and thereby find the liberation for which they were created. When sin is served, humankind’s true desire is denied, their created role is forfeited, and they fall under the bonding of sin and death. Paul writes that the Scripture has shut up all men under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe (Galatians 3:22). When we serve God in the name of Christ we are liberated from the shackles of sin.

Humanity’s surrender of sonship to God brings into light their personal responsibility for guilt. Scripture holds people accountable for their own sin. It’s not the responsibility of past generations. People are responsible for the actions of the group of which they are a part. They are guilty for the environment they help create. We speak of my country, my town, and my home. We live in a climate where we seek to find someone to blame, as long as the finger is not pointed towards us. Situations that we experience or read about or hear about may well draw exclamations of disapproval from us, but how often do we actively choose to do something about it. We are the authors of our own misfortune if we choose to do nothing in the belief that the situation either doesn’t involve us or could not possibly be changed by our single protest. This week I’ve been concerned by reports that our government intends to deport failed Zimbabwean asylum seekers to Zimbabwe, and this despite the atrocities being carried out there, and the recognised fact --- by everyone it seems except the government --- that if these people are returned they will face imprisonment, torture and probable death. Yet the government is voted into power by the people and needs to consider the wishes of the people. How can they do that if we don’t make our wishes known? And if we fail in that respect, how can we express concern for something that doesn’t interest us enough to act on our concern?

No person lives to self. What each of us does has an affect on others, even if we are unaware of that effect. We have freedom of choice, for that’s what freewill is, the freedom to choose as we see fit. If we make the wrong choices and go down the path of sin then we have nobody but ourselves to blame, and we must therefore face our sin alone and be answerable for it ourselves.

Humanity’s great problem is sin. Whatever other problems in life people may face the greatest problem of all is sin. The Bible teaches that God holds people accountable for their sin. People stand alone in solitude for their sin, facing the responsibility of it alone. Yet God is merciful and just, and He has met this condition with the opportunity for us to make a choice. Once people are ready to admit that their sin is theirs and theirs alone, then they are ready to meet with Jesus in repentance, seeking forgiveness, and He will bear their sins for them, for Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.

Vote 'YES' for the Bank-Tax!

Director Richard (Vicar of Dibley) Curtis and actor Bill Nighy teamed up to produce a campaign for what has become known as a 'Robin Hood Tax' on the greedy banks. This tax would impose a small levy on every bank-to-bank transaction and the money thus raised would help to combat problems such as poverty. Of course, in many cases it might well be argued that the poverty has been caused by the greed of the banks and their obscene bonus structure.

Why not visit the relevant website at http://robinhoodtax.org.uk/ and take a look at the video. I'm sure that when you have you'll want to vote a resounding 'YES'! (That is, unless you are one of the greedy bankers benefiting from the improper and immoral bonus system.)

Quand Dieu a ouvert Son coeur de compassion à nous et nous a donné Son Fils pour mourir pour nos péchés, Il nous a donné une ancre d'amour inconditionnel. Pas seul est Jésus amour inconditionnel, Il est aussi notre ancre d'amour. Quand les tempêtes de vie viennent contre nous et nous commençons à couler pour la dernière fois, si nous tiendrons serré à Jésus nous ne coulerons jamais.

Henry Lake Gilmour qui a dirigé la chorale au Mineur Camp de Bosquet qui rencontre pour quatre décennies a écrit une belle chanson inspirante “Le Refuge de Reste.” Ces mots sont si vrais “j'ai ancré mon âme dans le “Refuge de Reste,” je naviguerai les mers larges aucun plus; La tempête peut balayer partout sauvage, orageux, profond, Dans Jésus je suis toujours sûr.”

Est-ce que vous avez cette ancre d'amour dans votre coeur? Vous ne pouvez pas le faire à travers cette vie tout(e) seul(e). Vous avez besoin de Jésus. Votre famille et amis ne peuvent pas sauver votre âme et ils ne peuvent pas vous sauver des attaques de satan. Si vous n'avez jamais invité Jésus dans votre coeur, je vous conseille vivement de le faire maintenant avant que ce soit trop en retard!

Père céleste, Vous êtes un Père compatissant affectueux. Merci pour nous aimer si beaucoup que Vous nous avez donné notre ancre d'amour, Votre Fils bien-aimé. Nous vous aimons et nous apprécions tout que Vous faites pour nous. Jésus, merci pour être notre ancre d'amour au milieu d'un monde qui est rempli de violence et chaos. Amen.

UNSER ANKER DER LIEBE

Als Gott His Herz des Mitgefühls zu uns öffnete und uns Seinen Sohn gab für unsere Sünden zu sterben, gab Er uns einen Anker von bedingungsloser Liebe. Nicht nur ist Jesus bedingungslose Liebe, Er ist auch unser Anker der Liebe. Wenn die Stürme des Lebens gegen uns kommen, und wir beginnen, zu dem letzten Mal unterzugehen, wenn wir dicht zu Jesus halten werden, werden wir nie untergehen.

Henry Lake Gilmour, der den Chor Versammlung vier Jahrzehnte lang beim Pitman Grovezeltlager leitete, schrieb ein schönes inspirierendes Lied “Der Hafen der Ruhe.” Diese Wörter sind so wahr “ich habe meine Seele darin geankert das “Hafen der Ruhe,” ich werde den breiten Meeren nicht mehr steuern; der Sturm fegt vielleicht hinüber wild, stürmisch, tief bin ich sicherer evermore in Jesus.”

Lassen Sie dieses von Liebe in Ihrem Herzen ankern? Sie können es nicht durch sich durch dieses Leben machen. Sie brauchen Jesus. Ihre Familie und Ihre Freunde können Ihre Seele nicht bewahren, und sie können Sie nicht von den Angriffen von satan bewahren. Wenn Sie nie Jesus in Ihr Herz eingeladen haben, dränge ich Sie, es richtig zu machen, bevor es zu spät ist!

Himmlischer Vater, Sie sind ein liebevoller mitfühlender Vater. Danke dafür, uns so sehr zu lieben, daß Sie uns unseren Anker der Liebe, Ihres lieben Sohnes, gaben. Wir lieben Sie, und wir schätzen alles, was Sie für uns machen. Jesus dankt Ihnen dafür, unser Anker der Liebe in der Mitte von einer Welt zu sein, die mit Gewalt und Chaos gefüllt wird. Amen.

OUR ANCHOR OF LOVE

When God opened His heart of compassion to us and gave us His Son to die for our sins, He gave us an anchor of unconditional love. Not only is Jesus unconditional love, He is also our anchor of love. When the storms of life come against us and we start to go under for the last time, if we will hold tight to Jesus we will never sink.

Henry Lake Gilmour, who directed the choir at the Pitman Grove Camp meeting for four decades, wrote a beautiful inspiring song “The Haven of Rest”. These words are so true “I’ve anchored my soul in the “Haven of Rest,” I’ll sail the wide seas no more; The tempest may sweep over wild, stormy, deep, In Jesus I’m safe evermore.”

Do you have this anchor of love in your heart? You can’t make it through this life by yourself. You need Jesus. Your family and friends can’t save your soul and they can’t save you from the attacks of satan. If you have never invited Jesus into your heart, I urge you to do it right now before it is too late!

Heavenly Father, You are a loving compassionate Father. Thank You for loving us so much that You gave us our anchor of love, Your beloved Son. We love You and we appreciate all that You do for us. Jesus, thank You for being our anchor of love in the midst of a world that is filled with violence and chaos. Amen.
