Why does power seem bring out the worst in people?
The empire builders and the glory seekers
seem to have taken over the world.
There are power struggles, political take-overs,
riots and revolutions,
and often the world can seem to be a scary place to be.
Father, help me to remember that
You are Lord God Almighty, and that
Yours is the Kingdom, the power and the glory,
now and for ever,
and remind me of that glorious fact every moment of every day.
