Poem for Today

One Last Thing

Oh Lord, if I should stumble,

As I journey on life’s way,

If I should wander from the path

you’ve planned for me this day,

And if I should find that I am left,

Within this world of care,

Just one last thing to pray for,

Let it be that You are there.

Let me reach out to touch You,

To place my hand in Thine;

Then turn my feet to tread once more

Upon Your path divine.

Then should I should feel that I am left

With just one thought to share,

Let me praise You for the love

That answers every prayer.
