REMEMBER
JESUS
“Then
came the soldiers, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other which was
crucified with him. But when they came
to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs: But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced
his side, and forthwith came there out blood and
water.”
John
19:32-34 (King James
Version)
I read an article
on a website about Memorial Day. One of
the statements in the article reminded me of Jesus and His service to His
Father. “Memorial Day, originally called
Decoration Day, is a day of remembrance for those who have died in our nation’s
service.”
Next Monday on
Memorial Day as we remember and give thanks for all the brave men and women who
have died in our nation’s service, let us also remember and give thanks for
Jesus who died in His Father’s service and who died for every person in the
world. Thank God for the blood that
Jesus shed for us.
Heavenly Father,
thank You for the privilege of serving Jesus, the One who loves me so much that
He died for my sins on the cross of Calvary.
I pray that every man, every woman, every boy and every girl will
remember the sacrifice that Jesus made for them as we observe Memorial Day. Amen.
