Same-sex 'marriage' with the Church's Blessing?

So Cameron's 'hidden' agenda for his promises on strengthening the family are a little more transparent now with the proposition by the Coalition that homosexual and lesbian same-sex couples be allowed to enjoy the benefit of so-called 'weddings' in church, with the blessing of the Church.

Considering that the Bible, which believers accept as the inspired Word of God, clearly states that all forms of fornication are an abomination to God, and also that it is wrong for 'man to lie down with man', what a travesty this whole thing is. It's tantamount to making a declaration of war on God because He doesn't bend to the will of man.

Well, here's something to think about. The idea is that mankind --- and that means human beings of both sexes --- should bow to the divine will of God. We should do as He says, fitting our life-style what He demands rather than demanding that God fits His agenda to the way in which the world wants to live.

We are living in perilous times, with wars, rumours of wars, natural disasters and strange phenomena happening. The world's financial situation is disastrous as a result of the greed of those involved in running it. Respect is something that only those with long memories actually recall being practised, and common sense has long since been interred. Lobbying by the loud-mouths has changed our world and our society, and politician's seem either too afraid or too weak to change things, preferring to follow the same 'easy option' attitudes that has seen control in families and schools transferred to children. For many practising Christians the signs of the beginning of the 'end times' are quite clear, despite the mockery that they are subjected to in our hedonistic society.

Be warned. Have no doubt in your minds at all that you cannot continually mock God. I believe that He has removed His blessing from our land, and that that is why we are in the mess that we are in. There is a need for repentance by the government, all in power and by the people. That, and only that, will serve to make a difference. It is only when people turn back to God that things will change.

Making a mockery of God in the manner that this proposal would do if --- heaven forbid --- it actually comes to pass, will only push our society a step further down the road to destruction.
