IT WON'T HELP
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."
Ephesians 2:8,9 (King James Version)
Last week I was talking with someone and this person said "I am doing good things and being kind to people so I will make it to Heaven." Doing good things and being kind to people will not get us to Heaven. The Bible is very clear that it is only by grace through faith in Jesus that we are saved.
If we could go to Heaven by doing good things and being kind to people, then Jesus would not have had to suffer all of that excruciating pain on the cross when He died for our sins. When we try to work our way to Heaven, what we are really doing is rejecting the gift of His beloved Son that God gave to us.
I believe that it breaks God's heart and He cries when we don't accept the gift of Jesus which He so freely gives us. If you have ever given someone a gift and the person didn't accept it, then you have just a little idea of how God feels when we don't invite Jesus into our heart to be our personal Saviour.
Has there ever been a time in your life when you admitted that you were a sinner and repented of your sins? If not, I urge you, I plead with you to ask God to forgive you for your sins and invite Jesus into your heart to be your personal Saviour. He will be the best friend you have ever had and He will never leave you.
Let Jesus come into your heart before it is too late. Say yes to Jesus because you will either spend eternity in Heaven with Jesus or you will spend eternity in hell with satan. What is your choice, Heaven or hell? Only you can make the choice.
