An ideal Christmas Present ...

If you are looking for a last-minute stocking-filler for someone, why not get a copy of one of these little books by Runcorn author, Chris Darlington. Tales of the Old Town is a series of short reminiscences about people and situations that the author met with growing up in Runcorn, Cheshire. Makes great bed-time reading when you are looking for an easy 5-minute read before nodding off.

These books are available from the Curiosity Bookshop, 52 High Street, Runcorn WA7 1AW, (01928 575 956), or direct from the author by emailing him.
Northern Promise takes you on a poetic journey covering 35 years of Chris Darlington's life, chronicling places, people and events that have moved him to verse.
The last of this trio of little books is the popular Gone! But Not Forgotten, the story of Runcorn Football Club's successes and failures, and charts the progression from purchasing their first ground at Canal Street through to the demise of the ground when it was sold for development, making the Linnets a nomadic football team. A great read for football fans of smaller clubs.
