O suffer evr’y little child,

Take them to Jesu’s feet;

To know His love and saving grace,

Will make their lives complete.

Tell them the stories about Christ,

Show them where He has trod;

Tell how He died to save us all,

Redeeming us to God.

Tell of the infant who was born,

Asleep on soft, new hay;

Tell them of Joseph and Mary,

And those who came to pray.

Tell of the shepherds a-watching,

Contented sheep that night;

Tell them of great angelic choirs

Glowing in heaven’s light.

Tell all the things the Saviour did

On earth so long ago;

Tell them the stories wonderful,

The things they need to know.

Tell  them how Jesus loves them all,

Teach them how they should pray,

O suffer evr’y little child,

Take them to Him today.
