THE BEGINNING
"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."
Genesis 1:1 (King James Version)
No matter what it is, everything has to have a beginning. Everything started when God created the heaven and the earth. Have you ever wondered why God created us knowing that we were going to crucify His Son?
God doesn't need anything or anyone but He desires fellowship and that is why He created us. If God desires to fellowship with us, then fellowshipping with another must be very important. We need to fellowship with one another every day.
The beginning of a happy and victorious life starts when the precious blood of Jesus is applied to our heart for the forgiveness of our sins. There has to be a beginning of trusting Jesus. Have you trusted Jesus as your personal Saviour?
There also has to be a beginning of serving Jesus. Just as Uncle Sam calls us into service for our country, so Jesus calls every Christian to serve Him. Are you serving Jesus? If not, why aren't you serving Him?
Jesus suffered excruciating pain and died for us so we may be saved. After all He has done for us, we should be eager to serve Him. It should be the desire of every Christian's heart to serve Jesus. It is a privilege to be able to serve Him.
Heavenly Father, we love You and we appreciate You so much. You are a loving, compassionate and forgiving Father. May we be children who You bring You happiness instead of children who bring You sadness. Thank You for everything. Amen.
