The Rise of the Muslim Brotherhood in America

Beginning this week, ACT! for America is going to begin a multi-month process to educate the American public on the nature of the threat posed to America by the Muslim Brotherhood.


Last week, Dalia Mogahed, a member of President Obama’s Advisory Council on Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships stated during an interview to the satellite channel “Mehwar”: “Washington has no worries concerning the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.” She further elaborated that President Obama respects the Muslim Brotherhood due to their organizational skills.

Ms. Mogahed’s remarks come a month after President Obama’s Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper, during a rare public hearing of the House Intelligence Committee, claimed the Muslim Brotherhood was a “largely secular” organization with no “overarching agenda,” a viewpoint that was roundly criticized on the national stage for its complete removal from any factual basis.

In light of these two public statements and other similar previous statements and actions that show this Administration does not recognize the nature of the threat to America as presented by the Muslim Brotherhood, we at ACT! for America are going to launch a multi-month effort to raise the American public’s awareness of the Muslim Brotherhood, their history, ideology, leaders, organizational structure, methods of operation, and their publicly stated end goals.

As such, we are pleased to announce the following:

We will begin to elevate our Congressional coverage of all things Muslim Brotherhood on The Hill. If something happens on the Hill on this issue, we are going to make sure you know about it. We will soon make available on DVD, a presentation dealing with the concept of Information Warfare as being conducted by the Muslim Brotherhood here in the United States. This educational resource tool will be invaluable to you as you equip yourself to speak out on this issue with your friends, family or colleagues. Chapter leaders, you will want to use this DVD as a topic of discussion at one or more of your local meetings. Later this year, we will launch a new Muslim Brotherhood research center on our website that you can use to self-educate yourself on the groups and principle players in the Muslim Brotherhood movement here in America.

The reason the Administration can get away with such outlandish statements as provided by Clapper and Mogahed is because the America public is by and large uninformed of the threat the Muslim Brotherhood poses to America. That lack of awareness is a direct threat to our freedom.
